OUR PROGRAMS

Elmhurst Prep offers full-time and part-time programs for children ages 2–5 in warm, thoughtfully designed classrooms that encourage creativity, independence, and community.

Preschool Prep Program - 2 to 3 Years

Our youngest classroom is designed to provide a vibrant and welcoming space that inspires a young child’s natural curiosity. By fostering an atmosphere of exploration and creativity, children are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas, making meaningful connections with their world. Strong bonds between teachers, children, and families are developed, creating a supportive classroom community that enhances each child’s first school experience.

Preschool 3 Program - 3 to 4 Years

In our Preschool 3 Program, children embark on early collaborative projects inspired by their unique interests. Our welcoming space is filled with natural light, thoughtfully designed to cater to the inquisitive minds of three- and four-year-olds. Here, students become active participants in their learning journey, eager to explore, investigate, discover, and create! Family involvement is valued, and communication is essential, providing a strong home-school connection. In this nurturing and enriching environment, children thrive, turning learning into a joyful and memorable experience.

Preschool 4 Program - 4 to 5 Years

A rich, project-based pre-kindergarten experience that prepares children for kindergarten with strong foundations in communication, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills.

OUR CURRICULUM

Teachers plan strategic activities and centers to help cultivate the children’s own natural desire to explore and learn. Teachers lead math, science, literacy, and global studies curriculums to allow students to flourish in all content areas.

PROJECT APPROACH

Our attentive teachers observe the interests of the students. Project studies grow and expand with the help of student inquiry.
NATURE EXPLORATION

As an important component to learning, students spend quality time learning and exploring outdoors expanding their knowledge about the world around them.
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING

Children learn essential social and emotional skills at this stage like how to interact with adults, peers, and their environment. Each day, they build interpersonal skills through dramatic play, center activities, and group experiences.
MUSIC

We work with Music Together to bring song, rhythm, and movement into the classroom, supporting each child’s natural musical development. This program builds music competence while also strengthening key areas of early learning.
ART

Students will explore and use a variety of mediums during art activities. Open-ended materials will allow students the opportunity to express their creativity. Artists will be studied to allow students to deepen their knowledge in this area.
DANCE

Creative movement invites children to express themselves through the arts as they explore space, relationships, and how their bodies move within the environment.
FORIEGN LANGUAGE

Children are exposed to Spanish through music, art, and literature in the classroom.
